I'm a Canadian Artist living in Calgary, Alberta. I try to spend at least part of every day painting and I will be sharing my journey on this blog. My paintings are contemporary and impressionistic in style. I hope you enjoy them.

6" Squared Show
I'm thrilled that my painting, Pink Bonnet has been juried into the "6" Squared Show held at the Randy Higbee Gallery in Costa Mesa, California where it will be available for purchase.
I again want to thank Leslie Saeta and Dreama Tolle; the ladies that run the Artists Helping Artists Blog Talk Radio program. It was during their session with Scott Christensen that I learned about this Small Works Show. I'm amazed and grateful for all of the wonderful information that is shared each week.

Congratulations Donna!! I knew I should have listened to that show sooner :) Are you up for painting outside if it is nice?
This is absolutely adorable Donna! No wonder it was chosen. The light on her hat and clothes vs. the shade on her face is lovely.
This is truly a wonderful portrait.
Awwh shes so cute , I cant wait to paint something like this of my little Grand daughter Lexi.. Donna your such a grand Artist ..
Fantastic brushwork. Actually everything about it is fantastic.
I was the lucky purchaser of this painting. I get to enjoy it everyday. I love the skin tones ---the green in the skin is a lovely compliment to her pink outfit.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments about "Pink Bonnet".
Melanie - thanks for letting me know that it was you that purchased her - this little painting is one of my favorites and I'm glad that you are enjoying her.
