Teaching at the Calgary School of Art

I will be teaching painting in oil or acrylic at the Calgary School of Art using an open studio format on Monday afternoons from 12:30-3:00.

Class Description

Come to class each week to enjoy learning the skills of painting in a loose and impressionistic way in a non-threatening and fun atmosphere. Beginner or intermediate acrylic or oil painters are welcome.

Learn to see as an artist and interpret the world around you; to capture the essence of your subject using expressive brushwork embracing the saying "less is more".

Each week there will be either a short demo or talk on a subject such as colour, composition, use of edges, and computer skills for artists. The students will have input as to subject that are of interest to them.

There will be lots of time for individual attention to work on your own projects or I can suggest something for you.
