This past weekend my daughter and I went to an Diamond Willow Artisan Retreat near Turner Valley, Alberta. Pat and Doug are fabulous hosts and their property is beautiful.
While there I started an urban painting. Here are the first two steps. Transparent Oxide Red and Cad Yellow Light was used to lay out the composition during step one. In the second step I started to lay in colour working from back to front. I kept in mind that the colour for the distant trees needed to be cooler and less saturated in order to create depth.
I'll post the next steps tomorrow. Have a great day!
