Mother's Love - Small Wonder

16x20 Oil on Canvas

This summer I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a young mom (a fellow artist) and her baby.  We took several shots out in her garden where her little boy was fascinated with the abundance of flowers.  A tender moment.  I tried to be a bit bolder with the paint application using a knife and colour shaper.

I adore the looseness of the lower portion of your painting which is what came to mind to me initially! It reminded me how mother and child are always one in a sense. Nice work.

Lovely picture, you really captured the sense of looseness and yet the detail is there.
